St. Bonaventure women’s rugby was established in 1998 and has grown into one of the leading clubs in the region with multiple national rankings and state championships. From calling themselves "The Legends" in the late ’90s to representing the Brown and White as Bonnies today, our women have seen continued growth in numbers and victories over the years.

Our current team, which just won the state title Oct. 29, competes in the Upstate NY Collegiate Rugby Conference as part of the Small Colleges Division of National Collegiate Rugby. After years of success at this level, our women will be looking to move up a division next year, all due to their hard work and dedication on and off the pitch.

Our players and coaches thrive on team building, togetherness, and being there for one another on and off the pitch. They are also committed to instilling our Franciscan values of compassion, wisdom, and integrity through an elite rugby experience.
