Established in 1975 “The Outlaws,” as they were formerly called, hit the pitch as the first students to don a rugby sweater. Since that year, hundreds of student-athletes have played, from a club team to a varsity program today competing at the highest level in the country, culminating in the 2021 National Championship. Today, the men's rugby program has a 70-player roster consisting of both a varsity and junior varsity team.

The St. Bonaventure University men’s varsity rugby program competes in the Rugby East Conference as part of National Collegiate Rugby.

St. Bonaventure University’s rugby program is committed to providing an academically challenging education and an elite varsity rugby experience.
