Mary Nolan's Fundraising Page

Hello! My name is Mary Nolan and I am a freshman student at St. Bonaventure University. I am a Health and Society major. The Franciscan Center for Social Concern suppoers multiple different programs that give back to the community. The FCSC is Franciscan friars, St. Bonaventure students, and generations of Bonaventure alumni who all serve and live out a Franciscan mission of compassion and mercy. The Franciscan Center for Social Concern (FCSC) offers opportunities for students to engage in transformational service opportunities. I am part of Bona Buddies which is a mentorship program where students from the local area to come a to St. Bonaventure campus for two hours. Each child that is part of the program is matched with a St. Bonaventure student mentor. This mentor and child get to hang out, play games and even interact with other clubs on campus. This program offers a safe space for kids to unwind after school and to have a postitive role model to look up to.
Bona Buddies has given me the opportunity to become more connected and spend time with the kids in the area. I love having the opportunity to make a postive difference in my buddy's life and overall create a fun and safe environment! Your contribution during #GivingTuesdayatBonas ensures that the FCSC continues to offer service and social justice programs that change lives and allow students to learn while they serve.
