Caitlin Cullinane's Personal Page
Hi everyone!
My name is Caitlin Cullinane, and I am a senior at St. Bonaventure University majoring in Environmental Studies and minoring in both Biology and Visual Arts. I have been participating as a volunteer at the SPCA in Cattaraugus County through the SBU @ SPCA club since my freshman year in 2020, and became a coordinator for the club during my sophomore year. I have always had a passion for animals, whether it be caring for my own pets or those belonging to my neighbors, interning at a wildlife rehabilitation center, or going to the SPCA to socialize the animals until they can go to their forever home.
The SBU @ SPCA club is dedicated to uniting student volunteers from the university with animals at the local shelter that are waiting to be adopted. These animals often come from less fortunate backgrounds, such as being surrendered, abused, or neglected, and some of the pets there have been at the shelter for extended periods of time. The dogs and cats at the SPCA rely on volunteers to socialize, exercise, and play with them in order to foster a positive and healthy environment for them prior to adoption. In addition, volunteers have the ability to help clean the facilities and provide donations which help keep the shelter functioning. Our club visits the SPCA every week to provide these services to the animals. We also have several workshops and donation drives planned for the remainder of the school year.
In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, please consider making a donation to our cause to further improve the lives of the animals at the SPCA. Any donations go directly towards the club's efforts and the shelter itself and will surely improve the lives of countless animals. For the cost of a cup of coffee, you can make a difference to an animal in need!
Thank you for your generosity!
