Hello! My name is Nathan Sobko and I am a sophomore at St. Bonaventure University. I am in the major of business management and working at achieving my MBA after graduation.

I volunteered at the Warming House throughout my freshman year and most recently have been given the opportunity to move into the meal coordinator position this year! I love working at the Warming House because it connects the volunteers to the community of Olean. St. Bonaventure University is a big part of the surrounding communities and it is important for us to give back to those members of it. 

The one thing that makes the Warming House different than any other organization is the hospitality. At the Warming House, we offer hot meals to community members as well as a place to socialize and gather with friends. With the increase in food insecurity in the Olean area, the meals from the Warming House might be the only hot meal that they receive throughout the day. 

Being a part of the Warming House is very rewarding to me because with the hectic weeks that college can bring to students, the Warming House offers a peaceful place where volunteers can get to know members of the community while also serving them a great meal!
