My name is Grace Weber! I am a senior at St. Bonaventure and I study Elementary, Early and Special Education.

I joined Bona Buddies as a sophmore and had a buddy for a year! Since then, I am now a co-coordinator alongside 8 other dedicated students. This is my third semester coordinating and its for sure been an interesting ride.

The structure of Bona Buddies is as followed: we invite school age children on to campus and pair them up with either one or two college age mentors. For the first half of the two hour long program, we host a St. Bonaventure Club. They get to present an activity to our students. Our students get to learn a new skill (wether that be a dance, science expereiement or a language). For the second half of our program, we provide time for our mentors and buddies to spend time together playing games, building blocks and homework help. Every oppertunity that we get, we take our students to play outside. 

Although these past few years have looked a little different- I am so proud of this group of people (Co-coordinators and mentors alike) for putting in the hard work. A donation means another fun filled day for a student in the Bona Buddies Program.
