My name is Alison McIntosh, I am a sophomore Inclusive Childhood and Childhood Edcuation Major, and I am one of the student coordinators for Bona Buddies. Bona Buddies is a youth mentoring program that pairs St. Bonaventure students with local children. This program is so special as it truly makes a difference for both the lives of the college students and local children that participate in it. This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Bona Buddies has been a little challenging, but with the help of my fellow coordinators, we were able to keep Bona Buddies up and running. Every month, we have our mentors write letters to their buddies, we drop off activity bags to the homes of our buddies, and we also offer homework help via Zoom!
