The Franciscan Center for Social Concern helped to send me on a service trip to Guatemala in June 2019. I volunteered at Valley of the Angels Orphanage in Guatemala City. We spent our days doing everyday maintenace work around the school, and spending time with the kids after their school day.

It was my first oppurtunity to travel to a foreign country. I wanted to go to a Spanish speaking country to practice my spanish and be able to speak like a native speaker. I had an amazing experience volunteering, being with the people of Guatemala and learning their culture and language.
