Hi, 

My name is Nathan Parish and I am a sophomore accounting major here at St. Bonaventure University. A year ago when I was looking for my work study job, I did not know what I wanted to do. I came across the Warming House, a place I did not know much of other than the fact of it being the oldest student-run soup kitchens in the nation.

A year later, I can say I choose to work at the Warming House on a weekly basis for the purpose that it serves. It is more than just providing a meal to those in the Olean community. It is a place that offers hospitality and open arms to all of those in need. Anybody who walks through the door is guaranteed a warm meal with friendly faces and smiles given.

I have been so blessed and fortunate in my life to have been giving things and it feels great to give back to people that have not been given those same opportunities I have had myself. Serving others has helped me grow as not only a St. Bonaventure student, but as an individual. With each and every one of your guys' help, you can help me achieve this goal of growing as a part of the Franciscan Center for Social Concern.
