Hello, I currently serve as a mentor for an organization at St. Bonaventure University, called Bona Buddies. Bona Buddies is a youth mentoring program in which a college student is assigned a child from the Allegany/Olean community. The program takes place starting from Monday-Thursday from 4 pm-5 pm in our Ministry building here on campus. Every mentor has a specific day they meet their kid, in my case I meet with my kid every Monday. During the first hour, we have one-on-one time with our buddies in where we play games provided to us or help complete their homework, and the second hour all the kids and mentors get together and do an activity that changes every week. Our organization runs on donations and we appreciate all of your help to keep this program up and running. These donations are used for kids/mentors to participate in activities, provide snacks to the children, have trips, and parties. Having this program allows the kids to have a friend and someone to serve as a role model. Your donations to our organization will help a lot in the long run.
