My name is Trevor North and I'm a Senior at St. Bonaventure University. I have spent my time here serving this campus and the Greater Olean Area anyway that I can. I am a coordinator for the Bona Buddies youth mentorship program that takes kids from the area and pairs them with a college student who can provide a true role model for them. I have learned so much from my time as a Bona Buddy coordinator and mentor. I've learned how to manage many different things at once and my problem-solving skills have improved immensely. However, the most important thing I've learned from this program is how powerful a child's laughter and a smile can be. When I see the smile on these kids' faces and hear their laughter in the air I know that what I'm doing is worth it. I hope I'm making a difference in these kids' lives like they are making in mine because every day I see these kids my day gets a whole lot better.
