Hi all!

My name is Ava, I am a senior here at St. Bonaventure University. I am a student coordinator at The Warming House and a student mentor for Bona Buddies. My favorite part about Bonas is how much we give back to the community. Everyone is able to be involved in one or more ways, as little or as much as they would like. I love meeting new people from all types of backgrounds while working at The Warming House. The volunteers and guests have many beautiful stories to share. The challenges and rewards of my job fill my heart and soul.

I have been a mentor for Bona Buddies for 3 years now. I am blessed to have the same little girl as my buddy all 3 years. Each Monday we get together and play games and color, A LOT. I have yet to learn how to cartwheel, but she continues to push me to try week after week. My perspective of the world around me has changed through the joy and laughter she brings it.
